For some, thrift shops are a way of life – a hobby or obsession for finding that diamond in the rough. Since the Great Recession in 2008, buying second hand is a necessity for some. Many reasons surface for not wanting used clothing or other items, including:
1. It’s not sanitary to wear pre-worn clothing
2. It’s never in wearable conditions (i.e., stains, holes, perspiration).
3. The fashion itself is outdated (i.e., too 90’s, old but not cool vintage styles).
4. It’s time-consuming to look for just the right thing.
